Brave New World
A unique program for any classical radio station, Brave New World features living composers, from all “schools,” styles, countries, ages, and backgrounds. Above all, BNW offers variety and exposure to today’s composers. It is hosted by Daniel Gilliam, a composer and afternoon host on Classical 90.5.
BNW is a part of Louisville Public Media‘s mission is to engage, educate, and entertain by creating and providing innovative, outstanding programming fueled by intellectual and cultural diversity.
Brave New World is a weekly program that can be heard every Monday at 8:00pm on Classical 90.5 FM, WUOL Louisville and on the web at wuol.org.

Featured Recording
George Tsontakis won the 2005 Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition for his Violin Concerto No. 2. Since that time he was awarded the Charles Ives Living by the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and received over 100 performances in the 2006-2007 season.
This Koch recording, released in 2007, presents the Violin Concerto No. 2, The Past, The Present (1987), and Clair de Lune, a 2007 commission from the Barlow Endowment for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Douglas Boyd conducts and Steven Copes is soloist on the concerto.
