Music eX Series

The University of Louisville School of Music will end its “Music eX”  series this year with the Brahms Quartet and Quintet for piano and strings Sunday, February 12. Violinist Patrick Rafferty and pianist Dror Biran talk to Classical 90.5’s Alan Brandt about the complexities of Brahms’s works.

Chamber Music Society of Louisville

Louisville Master Chorale

Louisville Master Chorale, a new choral group that emerged from the remnants of the Louisville Bach Society, is performing Handel’s Messiah Sunday, December 18, at the Cathedral of the Assumption (2:30 with a pre-concert lecture at 1:45) . Music Director Mark Walker discussed his musical approach to the oratorio with Classical 90.5’s Alan Brandt.

The Yearning Within Our Hearts

Christ Church United Methodist presents “The Yearning Within Our Hearts”,  featuring the church’s 130 voice Chancel Choir, two handbell choirs and a 25 piece orchestra. Classical 90.5’s Alan Brandt talks to Music Director Dan Stokes about this annual event.
