Daniel Gilliam

danielcolor.jpgDaniel Gilliam (host weekdays 3 – 7 pm, Station Manager) is a composer and singer from Louisville, Kentucky. As an undergraduate, Daniel studied composition and voice at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While at Samford, he placed first and second in annual NATS competitions (2000 and 2001, respectively), he was winner in the voice category of the concerto-aria competition (2001), and performed lead roles with the Samford University Opera. Daniel earned his Master’s degree in composition from the University of Kansas, where he taught music theory and helped lead the Kansas Composer’s Project.

In recent years Daniel’s compositions have been performed across the US and Europe. He is a member of the American Music Center, Pi Kappa Lambda and ASCAP.
